Suzanne James is the designer and creator behind Central Oil, every part from concept to completion is her work. She is based in the beautiful town Wanaka, Central Otago, where the beauty of her surrounds helped to forge and inspire Central Oil.

From a fashion design background, she wanted to create a collection of garments that would not require reinventing, but one immune to changes in fashion trend. The other criteria being that it was composed from classical materials that lasted and embodied the natural beauty of central Otago. The concept of Central Oil was born.

Sue cares a great deal about how you experience your garment. She ensures your jacket or vest is the correct fit for you, will provide follow up care, should anything arise, and gets great pleasure to meet and create for her Central Oil client.
